And he doesn’t need to convince every judge when he can convince enough voters that any negative story is a plot.
The danger is obvious: if people stop believing independent reporting, they’re easier marks for the propaganda coming out of Trump’s own media ecosystem.
We’ve already seen it with the Iran war, with the Cuba blockade, with voter-fraud myths.
Reality is what the leader says; facts are what his enemies make up.
For now, the courts are still holding the legal line — rejecting his cases, affirming First Amendment protections, reminding the country that public officials don’t get to sue their way out of scrutiny.
But the more Trump turns those rulings into proof of a conspiracy, the more he lays the groundwork for a future where the law and his base finally line up.
And if he gets another chance to appoint just a couple more judges, he won’t have to lose nearly as often.
