Air-Fryer Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

4 slices sandwich bread (white, sourdough, or whole wheat)
2–4 slices cheese (cheddar, American, mozzarella, or a blend)
2 tablespoons softened butter or mayonnaise
Optional: pinch of garlic powder or black pepper
Instructions

continued on the next pagePreheat the air fryer to 370°F (190°C) for 2–3 minutes.
Spread butter or mayonnaise evenly on one side of each bread slice.
Assemble: Place cheese between two slices of bread, buttered sides facing out.
Air fry for 4–5 minutes, then carefully flip.
Cook another 3–5 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
Remove, rest for 1 minute, slice, and serve warm.
